What is HdR?

There's no doubt each one of you foreign students will have a magnificent time here in Louvain. You'll study a little bit, get acquainted with the Belgian customs and country and perhaps even learn a bit of Dutch. But most important: you'll be meeting other people, making friends and having the party of a lifetime. This is where we come in. Traditionally Louvain has something called Fakbars. These are bars, run by the students (in our case: law-students) for the students.

In our fakbar HUIS der RECHTEN ('House of law', if you translate literally), we do everything we can to make a place where students come together to have a drink, play a game, talk and have parties...
The drinks are ridiculously cheap (you can by two of them with the money you pay elsewhere for one) and we guarantee a magnificent atmosphere.

So unless you are bursting of money, are totally a-social, would hate to meet other people and students, and start throwing up the minute you even hear a party going on, you've should've been here already!

The HdR is located in the Tiensestraat 53, beneath the VRG, to the right of De Valk, and we are open every weekday from 10 am, and Sundays from 22 pm.
Also, every few Sundays a special activity will be organised in coöperation with the Erasmus-team of the VRG, dedicated to one country of which some students are staying in Louvain.

We hope to greet you here soon.

You can always visit their website www.huisderrechten.be where you can find all their activities and some pictures.
